Open your shop and start selling.
Inkress is a home for real local businesses across Jamaica and the Caribbean. Set up your storefront, list what you make or sell, and get paid directly. Here is what you need and how it works, in plain terms.
What you need to open a shop
You do not need a big inventory or a website to get going. A few products and the basics below are enough to start.
- A business or personal name to trade under
- Contact details so customers can reach you
- A bank account to receive your payouts
- A few products with clear photos and prices
Three steps to your storefront
Create your account
Sign up and tell us about your business. You add your contact details and the bank account where you want your payouts to land.
Set up your shop
Name your storefront, add your first products with clear photos and honest prices, and set your delivery or pickup terms.
Go live and sell
Publish your shop so shoppers in your area can find it. Take orders, pack them up, and get them to your customers.
Fees and payouts
There are no monthly fees and no listing fees. You only pay the standard bank fees when a sale goes through, and customers cover their own card processing at checkout.
Customers pay their own card processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) at checkout.
When a customer checks out, the payment goes to you directly through an encrypted checkout, with the bank fee deducted. Payouts settle to the bank account on your shop, so the money lands where you run your business.
Tips that help your shop
Use clear photos
Good, well-lit photos help shoppers see exactly what they are buying and decide with confidence.
Reply promptly
Answer questions about your products quickly. A fast reply often turns a question into an order.
Earn honest reviews
Deliver what you promised and ask happy customers to leave a review. Real reviews build trust with the next shopper.
Ship on time
Pack carefully and get orders out when you said you would. Reliable delivery keeps customers coming back.
