Account Security
Inkress has no passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with a passkey using your fingerprint, face or device PIN.
Why Account Security Matters
As a merchant handling financial transactions, your Inkress account is a valuable target for attackers. Protecting your account with strong authentication methods helps prevent:
- Unauthorized access to your payment dashboard and customer data
- Fraudulent changes to your payout settings or bank accounts
- Unauthorized refunds or transaction manipulation
- Reputational damage from compromised accounts
Available Security Features
There are two ways to sign in, and neither involves a password. Every account can use the email code; we recommend adding a passkey as well.
Passkeys
The fastest and most secure way to sign in. Use your device's biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello) or device PIN.
Email Code
Enter your email on the login page and we send you a one-time 6-digit code and a sign-in button. Codes expire after 5 minutes.
Which Should I Use?
| Feature | Passkey | Email code |
|---|---|---|
| Phishing resistant | Partial | |
| No waiting for an email | — | |
| Works on a device you haven't set up | If it syncs | |
| Setup needed | One minute | None |
Security Best Practices
Protect your email account
Your sign-in codes go to your email, so whoever controls that inbox can sign in. Give your email account a strong password of its own and turn on its two-step verification.
Register multiple passkeys
Add passkeys from multiple devices (phone, laptop, security key) so you can still access your account if one device is lost or broken.
Never share a sign-in code
Inkress staff will never ask for the code in your "OTP Verification" email. Anyone who asks for it is trying to get into your account.
Review your active sessions
Periodically check your account for unfamiliar sessions or devices and revoke access to any you don't recognize.
